Points and Bonuses
Another important feature of Nation War is the inclusion and importance of points and other bonuses. Each team begins with a set number of points and more points can be gained every 3 minutes for occupying neutral outposts (500 points for large outposts, 200 points for medium outposts, and 100 points for small outposts). Party leaders can then use these points to activate Force Towers that surround a base or outpost that their Nation controls or summon a Legacy Guardian at a conquered outpost.
Another powerful feature of the Nation War is the Legacy Weapon. This powerful weapon will only appear when a player occupies a neutral outpost or on the first time a base is taken by the enemy Nation. Legacy Weapons can be equipped by any class of warrior and will adapt to their fighting style. All of your stats - offensive, magical attack, defensive, attack rate, critical rate, critical damage, HP/MP absorb, and sword/magic skill AMP - are greatly increased.
Legacy Weapons appear closest to the warrior who took over the base or outpost, giving them the best chance of picking it up. Warriors can pick up several Legacy Weapons, but can only actually equip one at a time. Legacy Weapons can be traded between members of the same nation and, if a warrior who has a Legacy Weapon is killed, the Legacy Weapon is dropped, giving the person who killed them the chance to pick it up. If the player who has a Legacy Weapon leaves the server or the game ends, the Legacy Weapon is removed from play completely for that Nation War.
Force Towers and Portable FT Panels both act the same except that Portable FT Panels must be purchased first while Force Towers already exist in the field and cost Alz or points to activate. The other major difference between the types of Towers is that Force Towers stay active until the outpost or base they are attached to is taken over while Portable FT Panels stay up for a limited time, regardless of nearby bases and outposts. Either way, you cannot move while you are setting up a Tower and, if you are attacked, Tower activation/construction is cancelled (with no loss of Alz, points, or items). No more than three Portable FT Panels can be built in a small area and no Portable FT Panels can be built within the regions of a base or an outpost.
When you use a Portable FT panel or click on an unassigned Force Tower, you will see a list of options that the towers can do along with their costs in Alz and in points. Towers can be used to boost nearby Nation members' stats, lower nearby enemy Nation members' stats, attack nearby enemy Nation members, or act as a Warp location or a place where members of your Nation can resurrect. Once you have chosen what you want a Force Tower to do, you then have to decide whether you want to spend your own Alz or the Nation's points to activate the Tower. Remember, however, that Towers only affect warriors, not War Gates, Towers, Barriers, or Legacy Guardians.
Force Towers can be attacked by the enemy Nation and, if they take enough damage, they will be destroyed. If one of your Force Towers has taken damage, you can repair it for a cost of Alz relative to the amount of damage you are repairing by targeting it and pressing R. While you are repairing the Force Tower, you cannot move or do anything other than use HP potions. You can cancel the repairs at any time by pressing the X button on the right side of the status gauge.
