Once the Nation War starts, players will begin teleporting into their Nation's capitol according to the posted Entry Order. In the Nation War, there is no penalty for dying and killing warriors from the rival Nation gains you War EXP. If you have not already noticed, your costume will have changed to your National uniform and, while you will keep your equipped armor's stats, you will not see your equipped armor or any other costumes.
There are also some other major changes that you may or may not notice once you are in the battlefield. Your HP is 500% higher, as are your bonuses for HP Increase Buffs and Vital Potion items. Once you get into combat, though, you will notice that both the defense rate and the damage done in player combat greatly increases.
Within your Nation's capitol, you will notice a number of new items that are unique to Nation War. The doorways out of the capitol have a clear green energy War Gate that your enemy will have to hack through before they can enter your capitol. In the center of your courtyard is the Sage's Ensign which your opponent must destroy to take over your Nation's capitol. The other thing you will notice in your capitol and surrounding all of the outposts throughout the game are the Force Towers.
Throughout the battlefield, you will also see outposts that are controlled by Legacy Guardians. Like the Nation capitols, each outpost has a core that can be taken over, but these are protected by a barrier that is destroyed when the Legacy Guardian is killed. If both teams are attacking a neutral outpost, the outpost will be won by the last person to damage it before it falls.
To enter the lobby, you must have at least 1,000,000 Alz for the entrance fee and there must be more than one minute left on the countdown clock. While you are in the lobby, there are a number of things that you can do to prepare for the invasion. Just as you would in a normal server, you can change your equipment, heal, dance to fill up your special gauge, and store items with the Agent of Port Services. To prepare yourself mentally for the fight, you can access the Strategy Map by pressing M and check the Entry Order/Member List by pressing 'V'.
